Governing Body Information

Welcome to the work of the Governing Body of Kings Park Primary

Our key role is in creating an environment in which every child’s well being is addressed in order that they can be safe and well, enjoying their time at school in the best learning environment. In order to achieve this, the governing body works in partnership with staff, parents, carers, other professionals and community members to ensure the high quality of education is accessible to all children attending the school.

The full Governing Body meets six times a year and its role is to set the priorities for the year as well as agreeing policies, targets and objectives. The head and senior management team manage the day-to-day operations of the school. However, the role of governors is to provide support and advice to the school staff as a critical friend.

The work of our Children Centre demonstrates our commitment to the community, in responding to and supporting the needs of parents, particularly in relation to family and parenting needs. Our partnership with the YMCA Nursery enables the school to provide extended services to working parents.
