NEWSLETTER - JANUARY 2011

Towards the end of last year ‘The Friends of Kings Park’ was re-
formed.

Along with some old faces there are new ones who are keen to organise
fund-raising events for your childs school.

Letitia McCall is the Chair of the Committee, she has a daughter in
year 4.

Cheryl Scott is the Secretary and has 2 Children in years 2 & 4.

Alison Clark is the Treasurer and also has 2 children in years 4 & 6.

The Friends have a good team who have so far worked hard for the Xmas
Bazaar and for our new and successful event ‘Breakfast with Santa’.

We aim to meet once a month, usually at school & usually before we are
due to pick the kids up!! Although we will be holding evening meetings
at one of our homes and occasionally down the pub.

A typical meeting consists of discussing a previous event,
brainstorming ideas, planning for the next event and generally having a
good old fashioned natter!

Anyone who wants to join the Friends Team are more than welcome. You
do not have to attend every meeting and you do not have to help out at
each event. Whatever time you can give is most appreciated and valued.

We have a notice board up in the main school reception area where we
will have times of meetings & events. This is regularly updated.

We would also like to know what parents and children would like to do
and see more of I.e. the Discos, other events etc so we will be
arranging a questionnaire to find out.
